Dimensions Recovery Centers offer a full spectrum of treatment services for adult men and women who suffer from substance abuse problems and addiction, based upon their own individual needs. All our clients are unique and they are given an individualized addiction plan that is customized specifically to them by our highly experienced and credentialed staff. This personalized plan is created according to a number of factors including the addiction severity, presence of a co-occurring mental health disorder and the client’s requirements.
Depending on what drugs there are in a person’s system they may require a detoxification process, or “detox.” Clinical Detox has the highest level of around-the-clock care and involves consistent monitoring of the withdrawal process by trained and experienced professionals to ensure the body safely heals from chemical dependency.
During this process, which typically lasts 5-7 days, our clinical team provide 24/7 supervision for safe withdrawal as substances slowly exit the body. Any medical issues that need to be addressed are taken care of in a safe and supportive environment.
While a person might think and feel that they are ready and willing to focus on getting clean and healing from addiction, that person’s body may still be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Until brain and the body are both substance free and stable, recovery will be extremely hard to accomplish. This is where a clinical detox plan is put into effect and why quitting drugs “cold turkey” can be a dangerous task that should not be attempted at home.
A clinical detox program is designed to help process leftover drugs and toxins and return the individual to a clean and successful level of function. This can be an uncomfortable process due to withdrawal symptoms that can occur and serious health conditions can arise. That is why clinical detox takes place in a safe, secure and supervised environment. But withdrawal is not something to be afraid of. It is the aim at Dimensions Recovery Centers to ensure all our clients who require clinical detox are monitored closely throughout, by experienced and empathetic staff who are on-hand 24/7 to ensure their comfort and safety.
At Dimensions Recovery Centers we recognize that addiction affects and includes the entire family as well as the loved ones of our clients. We believe that addiction can affect each family member at the same level as it does the individual addict, but it does so in a different way. That is why we work hard to treat the whole family system, to make sure that the problem is treated holistically and comprehensively. We use educational and therapeutic methods to assess and grow these important relationships that may have been damaged in the past, rather than leveling blame or leaving blind spots open that could cause a relapse down the line.
Individual and group family work can help to identify the values and norms in which a family is operating as well as highlighting the areas that may need work. They also address certain aspects affected by addiction such as communication and trauma.
We have found that families often find comfort and support in knowing other families are experiencing the same types of issues and these group and educational sessions allow them to share these issues as well as learning more about their loved ones in the process.
This type of family treatment is a very effective model that deals with the issues affecting the family system, rather than just focusing on the individual who is struggling with an addiction. Clients that enter Dimensions Recovery Centers begin by adjusting the way they look at their addiction as well as the family system as a whole, this way we allow the family to come back together as a unit, rather than forcing any one person to deal with their own issues outside of the support system of a family. Once an addict is in recovery and is ready to leave our facility, these relationships and systems can be the difference between relapse and sobriety.
Severe or long-term addiction cases most frequently necessitate residential care, also known as in-patient rehabilitation. The majority of experts assert that in-patient rehab is the most likely program of care to help individuals maintain a long-term recovery. In-patient rehab is often more helpful as it requires the individual to stay in treatment for the necessary amount of time to affect positive change. Clients enter a Dimensions Recovery Center’s in-patient treatment program once they are clinically cleared and all of their physical withdrawal symptoms have been stabilized. Residential clients at all of our retreats are monitored around-the-clock for their own safety in a supportive and comfortable environment with many first-rate amenities available for their use.
Our expert staff ensure that all in-patient clients are actively involved in treatment and are on-hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No two plans are the same and each individual has a customized therapy structure designed specifically for them, but in general an in-patient program is made up of similar components. A breadth of services that are more likely to help clients develop the life-skills and tools to maintain their recovery, even after leaving the program are on offer. These components include:
In-patient rehab enables our clients to finish their program with the highest level of confidence and the necessary foundations for remaining in recovery.
Intensive Outpatient or IOP addiction treatment is a part-time yet intensive program. Clients who enter our IOP program are not in detox and are able to have access to the outside community. If scheduling permits they are able to continue their employment as well as other personal obligations, so this is a way to get clean without a significant impact on daily life as opposed to an in-patient program. The focus of Dimensions Recovery Centers IOP is to help individuals back into society in a safe supportive way while we further collaborate with them on developing aftercare plans and preparing them for the next step in their recovery.
IOP programs are often used to treat behavioral addictions and substance abuse conditions that do not rely on detoxification. This smaller scale of treatment means that the client will usually attend the facility for three days a week, or for a period adding up to 10 or 12 hours of individual and group therapy. This has been designed to accommodate work and family life, allowing a person to maintain their career and keep up their family responsibilities throughout their treatment.
Enabling an individual to rebuild their personal lives and focus on their relationships by living at home during treatment means they can establish a strong foundation for recovery from the very beginning. It is possible to find long-term recovery support from their families and their local community right from the start. Depending on an individual’s needs, they may be referred for additional comprehensive mental health treatment, or life skills training but in general an IOP can mean that daily life and addiction treatment can go hand in hand to allow our clients to provide for their families and achieve their goals.
Outpatient programs are the least restrictive treatment plans available and are a way for clients to take control of their lives when they do not have a severe addiction that requires detox or intensive therapy. They may have a behavioral addiction, or a regular habit that is not as serious or may not have been addicted to a substance for long. After assessment by our highly trained clinical team, it may be deemed to be the best fit for them. An outpatient program means that they can still continue with their lives and jobs almost as normal but with the safe and secure knowledge that they have the support they need and if they do require any further levels of treatment.
Outpatient treatment programs do share many similarities with in-patient rehab treatment programs, but they take place in a differently structured environment. Outpatient programs provide more freedom of movement and allow clients to maintain regular commitments they may have to their family, their work, and their educational responsibilities. With the ability to go home after daily or evening therapy sessions they have a greater level of privacy and anonymity. This is because they often do not need to explain a prolonged absence to their loved ones or coworkers.
Individuals following an outpatient program are not provided the safe, secure environment that isolates them from negatively influencing factors like inpatient rehab clients. They must voluntarily abstain from abusing drugs or alcohol, which can be much more difficult. However, at Dimensions Recovery Centers we provide a support network for our clients whether they are residential or not, in the form of official support groups, individual and family counseling, and other methods of continuous support so our clients never feel alone in their recovery.
Partial Hospitalization at Dimensions Recovery Centers provides a client with professional structured addiction treatment programs. Clients who participate in partial hospitalization have a customized treatment plan designed specifically for them by our team of experts according to their unique needs. This may consist of daily programming, regular group therapy, and/or weekly individual therapy sessions. The purpose of a Partial Hospitalization program is to assist clients to confidently shift away from clinical around-the-clock supervision so that they can seamlessly enter back in to society with a solid foundation for sobriety and the tools and coping mechanisms in place to stay clean and sober.
Partial Hospitalization is more intensive than an outpatient program but still allows clients to return home after treatment. Partial Hospitalization provides a level of care for our clients with structured addiction treatment programs that require attendance for at least 5 days a week for a minimum of 6 treatment hours each day. Clients get to enjoy greater access to their surrounding local sober communities and have the opportunity to attend 12-Step meetings outside the facility. This is in the hope that they can learn to have fun while they are in recovery through taking part in recreational activities and experiential therapies.
Through partial hospitalization you will be able to heal through individual therapy and grow through group counseling sessions. Other services such as educational seminars and relapse prevention could also be offered. Overall, a program of partial hospitalization can be just as effective as in-patient rehab, but this is under the provision that you have a solid support network and the safety of a secure and healthy living environment. Additionally, a partial hospitalization program can make a great form of follow-up treatment after an in-patient rehab program has been completed, slowly allowing a client more confidence to re-enter society and regain their responsibilities.
A very important and sometimes delicate stage in a person’s journey to long-lasting sobriety is the time period immediately after completion of their treatment program. Once discharged from the safe and secure environment of the recovery center, readjusting to everyday life can be difficult and stressful. But, with a strong continuing aftercare plan, relapsing back into old patterns within the first few months post-treatment can be kept at bay and with the correct support and the right techniques learned in treatment, the “real world” will be a place where a person can begin to thrive rather than be afraid or stressed out. We make sure you have all the support you need once your treatment program is completed and are 100% committed to your ongoing recovery.
Aftercare is an important stage in the process that begins after the completion of an addiction treatment program. It occurs when a client no longer requires the level of services that are provided throughout treatment at a professional recovery center. At Dimensions Recovery Centers our commitment does not simply end when our clients leave our facility. We provide each individual with a strong system of support and a proven aftercare system that means they are able to function in the “real world” where they can engage with their local sober communities and implement the skills they have learnt and continue on their successful road to recovery.
During your treatment we will address any concerns our clients may have about returning to their lives before treatment. We understand that going back to the environments, people and places that were once part of their addiction can be difficult and cause concern for relapse. Relapse prevention and maintenance techniques will be part of an addiction treatment program and at Dimensions we can even work with you to develop detailed daily schedules that act as guidelines to help you through your days post-treatment. Overall, we will do everything possible to give you the best chance of a long-lasting recovery.
